NEWS / YOUR CHOICES

News advertising & privacy.

A clear explanation of advertising on the News page. Reading our development notes does not require an account or agreement to personalised advertising.

Where this applies.

NetVista Studio is preparing one labelled Google AdSense display placement on the News hub. Advertising remains disabled in the website configuration while site approval and consent checks are pending. Setting up an AdSense account or submitting the site for review does not mean that ads are already being served.

This advertising setup is limited to the News hub, not individual articles, the homepage, creative-tool pages, account or download pages, the separate Watch site, or the native apps. This notice covers News advertising; it is not a description of every separate service you may choose to use elsewhere.

Google advertising.

When advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may process your IP address, browser and device information, the page you visit, information about your location, ad interactions, and cookies or other identifiers. Depending on your choices and region, these may be used to deliver, personalise and measure advertising, prevent fraud, and maintain security.

Third parties, including Google, may place and read cookies in your browser, or use web beacons and similar technologies, as a result of ad serving on this page. A non-personalised ad is not necessarily cookie-free. We do not send your NetVista account password, project files or native-app media to AdSense through this placement.

Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, Google's advertising technology explanation and Google's privacy policy. The consent message provides information about participating ad partners and processing purposes.

Consent and your choices.

Activation requires publishing and checking the appropriate regional messages through Google's consent-management tools. For visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, the prepared message offers Consent, Do not consent and Manage options, with consent-message revenue optimisation off. Until that setup is published and reviewed, the advertising feature remains disabled. You can read the News content without choosing personalised advertising.

When the advertising consent tools are active, use Privacy and cookie settings on the News hub to revisit the available choices, object to applicable processing or withdraw consent. If that control is unavailable, advertising may still be disabled or your browser may be blocking Google's tools. You can also manage Google advertising preferences at My Ad Center, and use your browser settings to block or remove cookies. Clearing cookies may cause the consent message to appear again; it does not delete information already held by a provider.

Google may show limited advertising where appropriate after consent is refused, rather than personalised advertising. Consent choices, regional requirements, browser protection and ad availability can affect whether an ad is shown at all. Ad-blocking does not prevent access to our News content.

Delivering the News page.

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes connection and request information to serve and protect the website. News pages also request website fonts from Google. These page-delivery services are separate from AdSense. See Cloudflare's privacy policy and Google Fonts' privacy explanation.

This advertising feature does not add analytics, session replay or a login requirement to News. Following a link to GitHub, an account page or another service is subject to that service's own privacy practices. Google's retention and international-transfer information is described in its linked privacy policy; we do not control Google's independent retention periods.

Questions and privacy requests.

Contact NetVista Studio at [email protected] about this placement or to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection concerning personal information NetVista controls, where applicable. For data controlled independently by Google, use the tools and contact options in Google's privacy policy. You may also raise a concern with your local data-protection authority.

We will update this notice if this advertising setup changes. The date above records the latest notice update.
